8 minute menopause · v8 · one question a day

You did the workout. Here's what changed.

A circuit instead of back-to-back sets. A breather that looks nothing like a work set. The app calls the holds for you. Names change with the level. A rewind button. A voice. And a starting number before Day 2, so week one has something to compare against.

8 Minute Menopause

What changed from your second run-through

  • Day 1 badge. Finishing Day 1 opens a full-screen Q badge with confetti. Tap "Keep going".
  • Next step first. The done screens now open with "Day 2 opens tomorrow morning. See you there!"
  • 5 am unlock. The next day opens at 5 am the morning after, by her phone's clock.
  • Always a start button. "I'm ready to start Day 1" stays pinned to the bottom. "You'll need" sits on one line.
  • Big pause. The breather circle is a pause button, and pausing stops the voice too.
  • Move screen. The circle sits lower, in the middle of the space. "Let's go" shows under the reps and fades.
  • Sides match the voice. Single-leg heel drop, single-leg reach, lunges and single-leg bridge show one side, then switch at the chime.
  • Wall sit on Let's go holds the whole time. Day 1 Let's go hinge is now the single-leg reach at the wall.
  • Your number. "Ready to set your baseline?" then chair setup, age, start. The test circle matches the move circle. After saving: congratulations, then pick a Day 28 goal (+2, +4, +6).
  • More to do. The group link is on every done screen and after the baseline, with a small bonus walk idea.

One question a day

Never before a workout. Each one appears on the "That's today handled" screen, right after she finishes and feels good. It takes one tap, says what it's for, can be skipped (and is asked again once at most), and can be changed any time in Customize under About you.

If two questions are due on the same day, the second simply waits until tomorrow. Diet, HRT, the tried-before list and the check-ins use the same answer lists as menoQ, so the research data lines up across both apps.

Your starting number

You spotted the gap: testing after Day 7 meant no ground zero. Now the test is offered at the start of Day 2, before Push.

Not Day 1, because that's the three-tap start and nothing should sit in front of it. Day 2 works because her legs have had a day off from squats, and Push is an upper-body day, so a 30 second leg test doesn't wreck the workout. She can tap "Not today" and it waits.

Then it repeats at the start of Days 8, 15 and 22, and one last time at the start of Day 28, before her final workout. That's five numbers across the 28 days, each taken fresh, the same way as the first.

This test is the one place she should go as hard as she can, and the screen says so.

Voice: yes, record it

Seven has a voice and your app should too. Yours, specifically, because you're the brand. Here's the short list of clips, each one a second or two:

  • "Get ready." · "Take a breather. Next up..." · "Let's go!"
  • "Ten, nine, eight..." down to "One" (ten clips)
  • "Ten seconds to go." · "Switch sides." · "Hold." · "Rest."
  • "Halfway there. Round two." · "Last one. Make it count."
  • "Workout complete. You did it." · "Go!" · "Stop. How many did you get?"
  • Every move name, once each at each level where the name changes

That's about 25 short clips plus the move names. One sitting with your phone in a quiet closet will do it.

Notes for the art, saved for later

  • Full movement, not two frames. A smooth loop of the whole rep.
  • Her outfit has to pop against purple. White top, pink leggings.
  • The chair never moves. Right now the sit-to-stand frames shift the chair.
  • One drawing per level where the move changes. Wall vs. counter vs. floor push-up has to be obvious from the picture, because nobody reads the words mid-workout.
  • Keep the dark inner circle. It's what makes the pink countdown easy to see.

Honest gaps

Days 8 to 28 aren't written. Days 1 to 3 need no equipment. From Day 4 the program uses dumbbells only, no bands, so nothing ever needs anchoring. Before Day 4 she's asked if her dumbbells are ready. "Not yet" repeats Days 1 to 3, then asks again.

Reminders still need GoHighLevel to actually send them.

Community is a GoCollab chat group unlocked by the purchase. The app links to it after Day 1 and whenever she beats her number, and needs the group link.

The voice is Kay's own recording, cleaned and level-matched. Turn it off with "Voice" below.
